Brandon Nimmo, the Mets’ 2011 first round pick, remains on the disabled list. He has not played in a game since April 29. He was originally placed on the disabled list with a bruised left hand. After the doctors determined that there was no break, and physio tape allowed him to feel good when swinging, he returned to batting practice about 10 days ago.
The Gnats had planned to activate him last week, but he came down with a minor glute strain that delayed his return to action. Savannah began a seven-game homestand Monday, and hopes to have Nimmo back during it.
