Four Cyclones pitchers combined for a 4-hit shutout, lead by starter Eduardo Aldama (5 IP, 1 hit, 2 bb, 8 K). Aldama (pictured) now leads the NYPL with 37 strikeouts (28 IP, 11.9 K/9).
John Leathersich (1 IP, hit, 2 K), Jose De La Torre (2 IP, hit, bb, 4 K), and Hunter Carnevale (Sv, 1 IP, bb, k) combined to finish the deal for the Cyclones.
Cole Frenzel‘s (2-4, 2RBI) 2-run single in the fifth provided all the Cyclones offense.
SS-R: Kingsport Mets 6, @ Danville Braves 5
Tillman Pugh‘s (3-4, 2 2B, 3RBI) bases clearing fourth inning double helped propel Kingsport to the 6-5 victory over Danville.
Dustin Lawley (1-3, 2B, 2RBI) also added a two-run double in the fifth.
Brett Mitchell picked up his second win of the season: 6 2/3 IP, 6 hits, 3 er, 5K.
