A-AA Sunday: Another 0-for-4

AA: @ Akron Aeros 6, Binghamton Mets 2

Not much exciting in this one, where Greg Peavey (2-2, 3.00)  was hit reasonably hard: 6 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 4 K.

A+: @ Fort Myers Miracle 5, St. Lucie Mets 1 (7 innings)
@ Fort Myers Miracle 8, St. Lucie Mets 2 (7 innings)

The important thing to happen in in Sunday’s games: Kevin Plawecki left game one early with a hand injury.

Outside of that, Rainy Lara (4-5, 3.76) gave up a bunch of hits in game one: 5 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 2 K.

DH Jayce Boyd had a hit in game one, and two more singles in game two. He doesn’t have an extra-base hit in his last 10 games, and just three doubles in 18 games in August as part of a .279/.380/.328 line in the month.

A: West Virginia Power (PIT) 4, @ Savannah Sand Gnats 3

The Gnats score three runs on plays without a hit: two bases-loaded walks and a bases-loaded HBP.

A tiring Seth Lugo (2-1, 2.42) gave up the go-ahead  three-run homer in the top of the seventh as the Power took three of four from Savannah. Lugo’s line: 7 IP, 9 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 7 K.

SS Philip Evans was 0-for-2 and left early in the sixth inning. I don’t know why yet.
