Daily Recap: Friday, July 11 games

Albuquerque 1 – Las Vegas 8, game 1: RHP Matt Bowman was excellent in his second triple-A start, allowing just one run on seven hits in six innings for his first 3A win. The 23-year-old had six victories in 14 starts for Binghamton before being moved up. Matt den Dekker picked up three more knocks to extend his hitting streak to seven games, during which time he has five multi-hit efforts. Wilmer Flores launched his 12th AAA home run of the season and seventh since being demoted June 26. He’s hit safely in 16 straight games. Kevin Plawecki smacked his second homer since joining the 51s. >>Read more at MiLB.com

Albuquerque 5 – Las Vegas 2, game 2: Josh Satin was 3-for-3 with a walk and a run batted in. Juan Centeno had a pair of hits, including his fifth double of the season. Cesar Puello singled and scored a run. Matt den Dekker cracked a pinch-hit single in the 6th inning to advance his hitting streak to eight games. Binghamton 3 – Erie 7: All but one batter in the B-Mets lineup had at least one hit. Brandon Nimmo was the only player who didn’t reach base, going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts. He’s batting .189 since being promoted to double-A. The only extra base hit was supplied by Darrell Ceciliani, who doubled and singled in four at-bats. Lakeland 3 – St. Lucie 9: Former Kansas State Wildcats star Jared King had a nice game, collecting three singles. L.J. Mazzilli tripled home a pair of runs in the 8th inning, extending his hitting streak to eight games. Leadoff hitter Gilbert Gomez reached base three times on a single and two walks. Gavin Cecchini was 0-for-3 and is now batting .181 since being promoted. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Charleston – Savannah: Postponed by rain


Brooklyn 3 – State College 4: The Cyclones scored all three of their runs in the 2nd inning on a pass ball, wild pitch and a throwing error. Amed Rosario, Michael Katz, Jhoan Urena and Tomas Nido had two hits apiece. Urena had the only extra base hit of the night for Brooklyn, connecting on his eighth double of the season. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Kingsport 12 – Elizabethton 0: The K-Mets pounded out 19 hits and had three multi-run innings. Yoryi Nuez was the beneficiary of all the run support and did a fine job on the mound anyway, shutting out Elizabethton for five innings. 1B Pedro Perez had four hits, including a double and three rbi to raise his season average to .293. Eudor Garcia, Luis Guillorme and Jean Rodriguez all had three hits. Oswald Caraballo had a pair of singles to extend his hitting streak to six games. >>Read more at MiLB.com
