Las Vegas 8 – Reno 14: Wilmer Flores extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a 7th inning single, which plated two runs. He did, however, have his string of five straight games with a home run come to an end. Matt Reynolds reached base twice on a single and a walk and is batting .358 in Triple-A. With the 51s down 10 runs in the 8th inning and the bullpen burned, infielder Omar Quintanilla was called upon to pitch and tossed a 1-2-3 frame. Portland 4 – Binghamton 11: Shortstop TJ Rivera had a tremendous night with the lumber, cracking three doubles in five at-bats and driving in a run. Right fielder Travis Taijeron‘s night was just as outstanding. The 25-year-old also had three hits, two of which were homers, giving him 10 for the season. Brandon Nimmo smacked his third Double-A home run in the 6th inning with a pair of runners on base. Augusta 1 – Savannah 6: First baseman Dominic Smith has been hitting the ball exceptionally well the last two weeks. The 19-year-old collected two more singles Monday and has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, with seven multi-hit games during that stretch. Arkansas native Matt Oberste extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a double and two singles. He has six multi-hit efforts during the streak, including the last three in a row. Right-hander John Gant got the win, allowing one run over eight incredible innings on the mound with 10 strikeouts. >>Read more at MiLB.com

Hudson Valley 8 – Brooklyn 4: Catcher Tomas Nido singled three times and drove in two runs. Jhoan Urena homered for the third time in 2014, launching a two-run shot in the 4th. He’s hit safely in 14 of his last 16 games. 1B Jeff Diehl was 2-for-4. >>Read more at MiLB.com

Pulaski 11 – Kingsport 16: The K-Mets scored eight runs in the 8th inning for the come-from-behind win. Six Kingsport hitters had multi-hit games, led by SS Luis Guillorme and Oswald Caraballo who had three each. 2014 4th round pick Eudor Garcia had a pair of knocks, including a double and drove in two runs. GCL Mets 6 – GCL Cardinals 2: The GCL Mets broke open a close game with three runs in the 8th inning. Jared King continued his rehab assignment and was 2-for-4 with a home run and a pair of runs scored. Enmanuel Zabala collected three singles to raise his season average to .364.
