Las Vegas 5 – Sacramento 7: Matt Reynolds extended his hitting streak to eight games with a single. Taylor Teagarden homered in the 9th inning and was 3-for-4. Cesar Puello contributed a pair of singles and drove in two runs. After a solid July, his batting average is up to .241. LHP John Lannan got off to a good start before falling apart in the 7th inning. His final line: 6.2IP, 8H, 6R, 6ER, 3BB, 3K. Bowie 1 – Binghamton 2: The B-Mets scored single runs in the 6th and 8th to come from behind and win. Eight of the nine Mets hits were singles and T.J. Rivera had four of them to raise his AA average to .372. Darrell Ceciliani was 2-for-4 with a run batted in. Brandon Nimmo and Dilson Herrera were each hitless. St. Lucie 6 – Clearwater 3: The Mets broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the 8th inning and didn’t look back. Jared King collected his third consecutive two-hit game. One of the knocks was a double and he drove in a run. Gavin Cecchini doubled twice and plated a pair of runs. Catcher Albert Cordero homered for the second time this year, singled and also drove in two. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Hickory 2 – Savannah 5, game 1: RHP Ricky Knapp did nice job on the mound, surrendering one earned run in 5 2/3 innings for the win. Akeel Morris, who has been outstanding all season, picked up his 11th save with 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief work. In the process, Morris lowered his era to 0.76. The top seven batters in the San Gnats lineup had one hit each. Dominic Smith doubled for the 22nd time this season and drove in a run. Hickory 0 – Savannah 8, game 2: The Sand Gnats managed to score eight runs on just seven hits, only one of which was for extra bases. Catcher Colton Plaia plated three runs with a double in the four-run 2nd inning. Dom Smith was 1-for-4 with a rbi. Connecticut 1 – Brooklyn 8: Michael Conforto cracked his first professional homer in the 5th inning, walked twice, drove in two runs and scored twice. Amed Rosario was 3-for-4 with a triple to lift his season average to .305. He’s hit safely in eight of his last 10 games. Catcher Adrian Abreu also had a three-hit game. >>Read more at MiLB.com


GCL Nationals 4 – GCL Mets 6: Dash Winningham homered for the second time in four games and fourth time this season.
