Daily Recap: Tuesday, July 1 games

Salt Lake 8 – Las Vegas 9 (10): Josh Satin won the game with a walkoff two-run single in the 10th. It was another rough night on the mound for Noah Syndergaard, who surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits in 3 2/3 innings of work, with three strikeouts and no walks. The right-hander has allowed five earned runs in each of his last three starts. Matt Reynolds collected his sixth multi-hit game since being promoted to Vegas, going 3-for-5 with a walk. Binghamton 6 – New Britain 9: Dilson Herrera extended his hitting streak to five games with a 4th inning double. Dustin Lawley was 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs, giving him 13 this season and three in the last two games. St. Lucie 6 – Charlotte 4: St. Lucie scored five runs in the final two innings. CF Gilbert Gomez was 2-for-4 with a triple, double and three rbi. Gavin Cecchini and L.J. Mazzilli combined to go hitless in nine at-bats. Eudy Pina was 2-for-3 with a double and drove in the tying run in the top of the 9th. Charleston 8 – Savannah 9: Savannah blew a two run lead in the 9th inning but scored three in the bottom of the frame to win. Dominic Smith had a big game, reaching base all five trips on four singles and a walk. It’s the second four-hit game of his professional career. Right fielder Victor Cruzado homered and singled in four at-bats. Jorge Rivero also had a multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 at the dish, with a walk and a run batted in. Akeel Morris, who entered the game with a 0.25 era, blew the save in the 9th surrendering three runs. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Brooklyn 6 – Hudson Valley 8: Jhoan Urena was 2-for-3 with a double, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. Michael Bernal had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in two runs. 1B Jeff Diehl launched a three-run homer in the 2nd inning. Eight of the nine batters in the Brooklyn lineup had at least one hit. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Greeneville 4 – Kingsport 3: Oswald Caraballo continued his hot streak, collecting two singles to move his season average to .306. 1B Pedro Perez drove in two of the K-Mets runs on a single in the 7th inning.
