Las Vegas 6 – Reno 2: Cory Vaughn smacked a three-run pinch hit homer in the 7th inning to put Vegas comfortably ahead. Kevin Plawecki had a pinch hit rbi single in the same inning. Matt Reynolds singled twice to raise his Triple-A average to .366. Wilmer Flores extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a 1-for-4 night. Portland – Binghamton: Postponed by rain


St. Lucie 2 – Bradenton 11: No one in the St. Lucie lineup had more than one hit and they managed just five as a team. L.J. Mazzilli doubled in four at-bats, extending his hitting streak to five games. Maikis De La Cruz also doubled once in four trips. Augusta 6 – Savannah 4: Dominic Smith was 2-for-4 with a double, single, walk and run scored, raising his season average to .299. He’s hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games and has 15 multi-hit games since June 1. Matt Oberste extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a 2-for-4 effort. During the streak he’s 24-for-43 (.558) with five doubles and four homers. He also has a streak of five consecutive multi-hit games. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Hudson Valley 0 – Brooklyn 3, game 1: Right-hander Marcos Molina had another superb outing on the mound, throwing five shutout innings, allowing one hit, with six strikeouts and three walks. In 24 innings this season, Molina has surrendered one earned run for an era of 0.38. Former Seton Hall standout Josh Prevost picked up the save with two perfect innings of relief work. HIs era stands at 1.42 in five appearances out of the pen. RF Michael Bernal launched a two-run homer in the 4th inning and was 2-for-3. >>Read more at MiLB.com

Pulaski 4 – Kingsport 6: After going two games without a knock, OF Oswald Caraballo has put together a three game hitting streak. Tuesday, he was 3-for-4 and launched his third homer of the season in the opening inning. 1B Luis Ortega also collected three hits and homered in the 6th.
