Daily Recap: Tuesday, June 17 games

Nashville 7 – Las Vegas 8: Travis d’Arnaud had another nice game with the lumber, cracking a double and a single in five at-bats to move his triple-A batting average to .395. Cory Vaughn had a pair of hits, including the game winning rbi single in the bottom of the 9th inning. Danny Muno and Brandon Allen each launched 1st inning home runs. Cesar Puello cracked the game-tying pinch-hit rbi double in the bottom of the 9th that led to the Vaughn walkoff single. 51s reliever Ryan Reid surrendered three runs in the 8th inning, ending a streak of 12 consecutive appearances without allowing an earned run. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Richmond 1 – Binghamton 5: Matthew Bowman had one of his best pitching performances of the season, shutting out Richmond over six innings of work. The Maryland native allowed three scattered hits, struck out four and walked two, collecting his fifth win of the campaign. Brian Burgamy, who was the Eastern League Player of the Week last week, continued his hot streak with a homer, double and four rbi. Dustin Lawley had a pair of doubles to raise his batting average to .236. Kevin Plawecki was 0-for-3 but drove in a run with a sac fly. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Charlotte 5 – St. Lucie 10: The Mets scored all 10 of their runs in the first four innings and cruised to victory. Dilson Herrera had two hits in five at-bats with a double and a run batted in. SS Yeixon Ruiz was 4-for-5 with a double and two rbi. Brandon Nimmo was hitless in three at-bats but drew a walk and scored a run. Hudson Valley 1 – Brooklyn 5: First baseman Michael Katz continued his hot start, going 2-for-4 with a triple and two rbi. He’s batting .444 on the young season. Joe Tuschak has hit safely in four of his teams first five games, including launching his first homer of the season Tuesday night.
