Daily Recap: Tuesday, June 24 games

Memphis 8 – Las Vegas 10: Cory Vaughn singled home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th inning, leading Vegas to their seventh win in their last eight games. Matt den Dekker followed up his four-hit effort Monday by smacking a game-tying pinch hit two-run homer in the bottom of the 7th. Reading 0 – Binghamton 2: Brandon Nimmo hit his first double-A home run, a two-run shot in the 5th inning. It was one of only two hits the Binghamton offense mustered in the game. Juan Lagares was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in his second rehab game in AA. Greg Peavey had another outstanding outing, allowing four scattered hits and no runs in six innings of work. St. Lucie Mets 4 – Jupiter 6: L.J. Mazzilli hit his second home run since being promoted to high-A. He also reached on a walk and is batting .286 for St. Lucie. Savannah 1 – Charleston 6, game 1: Dominic Smith was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored to raise his season batting average to .272. SS Yeixon Ruiz also had a pair of hits in three at-bats and drove in a run. >>Read more at MiLB.com

Brooklyn 3 – Hudson Valley 6: Amed Rosario extended his hitting streak to three games with a 3-for-4 effort. 3B Jhoan Urena had a pair of hits, including a homer and drove in two runs. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Bluefield 5 – Kingsport 6: Wuilmer Becerra won the game with an rbi single in the bottom of the 9th. He had a pair of base hits in the game and is batting .333. GCL Mets 17 - GCL Marlins 2: Dillon Gee made his first rehab start and threw two scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out two. Blake Taylor, the PTBNL in the Ike Davis trade, made his Mets organizational debut and shut out the GCL Marlins for four innings, allowing only one hit with seven strikeouts and three walks. >>Read more at MiLB.com
