Binghamton 5 - Richmond 1: Dilson Herrera was 1-for-4 with a single but was taken out of the game in the 6th inning after sliding head first into second base on a stolen base attempt. Dustin Lawley smacked his 20th homer of the season in the 6th. It’s his second straight season eclipsing the 20 mark. Brian Burgamy hit his 21st of the campaign in the top of the 1st. Starter Greg Peavey lowered his era to 2.58 with 6 2/3 shutout frames. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Fort Myers 5 – St. Lucie 6: Jeremy Hefner made his second start with St. Lucie as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. The righty lasted one inning, surrendering three runs on three hits, with two walks and no strikeouts. Gavin Cecchini was 3-for-3 and is now batting .221 in the FSL. He has four multi-hit games in his last eight starts. L.J. Mazzilli and Maikis De La Cruz were each 2-for-5 with a run batted in. >>Read more at MiLB.com


Charleston 0 - Savannah 2, game 1: RHP Rob Whalen is now 7-0 after tossing 5 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing four hits, with three strikeouts and three walks. He hasn’t allowed more than two earned runs in any of his seven appearances with Savannah this season. Dominic Smith doubled for the 23rd time and drove in a run. Charleston 3 - Savannah 5, game 2: Right fielder Stefan Sabol homered twice, including a walkoff two-run shot in the bottom of the 7th inning, lifting the Sand Gnats to a doubleheader sweep. The two bombs give him eight this season. Brooklyn 1 – Mahoning Valley 2 (12): Center fielder John Mora continues to impress with the lumber, smacking a double and a triple and driving in a run. After hitting .318 in 32 games with the GCL Mets, he’s kept pace in Brooklyn, batting .300 in his first week in the NYPenn League. Tyler Moore had three knocks, two of which were doubles. GCL Marlins 6 – GCL Mets 1: The Mets managed only two hits, both of which were singles. Enmanuel Zabala drove in the only run with a single in the 3rd inning. Manuel Hilario had the other hit in that same inning and scored the only run. >>Read more at MiLB.com
