Short-Season Affiliates Go 0-for-3 Thursday

SSA: Williamsport Crosscutters (PHI) 3, @ Brooklyn Cyclones 1

James Fuller pitched well over six innings, but the Brooklyn offense mustered just four hits behind him. Fuller (3-2, 1.45) gave up two runs on three hits, walked one and struck out nine cutters.

Rookie (APP): @ Princeton Rays 12, Kingsport Mets 9

Jhonathan Torres’ Appalachian League debut was a mess: 4 IP, 5 H, 10 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 2 HR. The Rays scored eight times in the second inning on four hits and a walk, but were helped in large part by two errors and a pasted ball on strike three. To the K-Mets credit, they fought back, blasting three homeruns of their own in a comeback that came up short.

Rookie (GCL): GCL Nationals 5, @ GCL Mets 2

Sal Aguilar went two scoreless innings to start this game for the GCL Mets.

Justin Garber was added to the Cyclones roster a few days ago from Kingsport and has been playing CF in place of the struggling Servidio.

Most of the Cyclones regulars are hitting under .210 so their winning ways couldn’t hold up on the pitching alone.

From reading the stats, I see that Michael Moras has not played for the Kingsport Mets since July 8. Is he injured?
