He writes that he thinks people will be “surprised” by his ranking for both Allen and Familia. I am, but only mildly.

I am more surprised by Josh Thole at #15.

      yup… putting Stoner and Gee, and even Rustich in the top 20 makes the system look a lot thinner than it really is. Having some younger raw players in there would look better and is probably more realistic.

      If he doesn’t value Thole’s big league readiness much then why does it help those pitchers?

    I actually like the Thole ranking. I’d have him a C+ probably, but still kind of like him behind both Marte and Puello, who both have significantly better upside. On the whole I like this list. Might have had Carson, Moviel, or Dotson in the top 20 over Stoner, but otherwise he probably got the right names in there.
