Sherman's behavior was cringe worthy.  Embarrassing to watch.  It made me shutter, I had to change the channel.  On par with those "rap" groups that go to elementary schools and rap about safety or something.  Just... ugh.  No, please.  Do not want.  I honestly just felt bad for everyone involved.

What a mess. My eleven-year-old daughter could do a fine job editing that post.

Impressive memory from Mr. Brender there!  According to the transactions on Baseball-Reference.com, Freddy Garcia signed with the Mets on January 22, 2009 and was released on April 28, 2009 without ever appearing in a game for the team.

@Derpy Why did it make you shutter? Sherman was right on the merits. He's a better CB than Crabtree is a receiver. Kaepernick's decision to throw to Crabtree with Sherman on him was poor.

Recall about that experiment was that Garcia wasn't fully rehabbed and was short on the fastball.  He went back to doing rehab and was able to get back with the White Sox later that year.  Not sure if it was the Mets or Garcia, but clearly the process was too rushed for him to help the Mets early in 2009.

Tim Redding and Casey Fossum also made 2 starts for Buffalo that year.  22 different pitchers made starts on that dismal squad.

@AV Looks like he made two starts for Buffalo and lost both. I have absolutely no memory of this!

@AV I knew they had him in spring training, though I forgot he never pitched in AAA. Was released and signed elsewhere.
