Cesar Puello started in rightfield, while Alonzo Harris played center. Then Puello left the game after only three innings in favor of Rafael Fernandez. Since returning from his broken hammate bone, the 21-year old Puello is 3-for-22 (.136) in eight games as part of a .245/.306/.381 line in 41 games with St. Lucie this year with a 39/4 K/BB ratio. He’s not that young for the FSL. His stock is slipping.
RHP Erik Goeddel: 5 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 1 HR, 1 WP – 3.80 ERA. The FSL averages a 3.86 ERA. He has a 1.7 K/BB ratio (52 K/30 BB) at a level where I like to see prospects exceed 2.5.
DH Jason Bay was 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout. He’s 0-for-6 with two walks and two whiffs since returning from the DL this time. It’s nice to see that the layoff hasn’t affected his timing.

LHP Alex Panteliodis struggled again: 4.2 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 1 K.
