Rainy Lara (1-2, 2.59): 5 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 1 HR, WP. Solid enough, but not special.

Rehabbing CF Matt den Dekker was 0-for-3 with an RBI and a strikeout in his third game and is now 1-for-11.

No Aderlin Rodriguez since June 12. Hmm. Time to make a phone call.

This team will be reinforced on Thursday with some of the top Sand Gnats from the first half-winning Gnats.

SSA: @ Staten Island Yankees 5, Brooklyn Cyclones 2

1B Matt Oberste had the best night on the Cyclones, going 3-for-4 with a homer, and 2 RBI.

SS Gavin Cecchini was 0-for-4 with a strikeout and so he’s now 0-for-7 with three whiffs in his first two games as a Cyclone.

19-year-old C Tomas Nido was 0-for-3 in his Cyclones debut.

RHP Miller Diaz, who turns 21 this weekend could not escape an error behind him. He has a good arm, but has struggled with his control in years’ past. Wednesday: 4.2 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K.
