AAA Wednesday: den Dekker Homers, Flores Doubles in 51s Loss

Trailing 7-0 going into the 9th inning, the 51s scored four runs and loaded the bases with two outs. Unfortunately, Jamie Hoffmann couldn’t keepDen Dekker ST Face (Baron) the rally going, popping out to right field to end the game. Las Vegas lost two of three in the series against the Bees and finished their seven game road trip 2-5.

Matt den Dekker launched a two-run homerun in the 9th inning for his first round-tripper of the season. After starting 1 for 25 when he returned from injury, the Vegas center fielder had five hits in 11 at-bats in the series.

Wilmer Flores picked up two more hits, including his PCL-leading 32nd double of the campaign and 70th rbi. Flores has hit safely in seven straight games and 20 of the last 21.

RHP Matt Fox started and took the loss for Vegas: 4.2IP, 8H, 6R, 6ER, 2BB, 4K. He’s 3-4 in 12GS.

Notes: Ruben Tejada was 0 for 4 and now 5 for 36 with the 51s….Zach Lutz, Rylan Sandoval and Francisco Pena each had two hits.
