Chase Huchingson, whose given first name is Daniel, has been suspended for 50 games without pay for a second violation for a drug of abuse, Major League Baseball announced.
In 45 appearances for Double-A Binghamton this season, Huchingson has posted a 1.61 ERA and a 1.254 WHIP. He’s notched one save, walking 29 and striking out 68.
Huchingson’s suspension is effective immediately.
The B-Mets have eight regular season games remaining in 2013.
