Monday 7:05 – RHP Chris Schwinden (7-8, 2.99) vs. RHP Ramon Ortiz (11-5, 3.16)

Chris Schwinden is set to make his 17th Buffalo start, and 27th overall appearance.  He’s 6-5 with a 2.33 ERA for Buffalo.  Rob Carson has made ten appearances for Buffalo, throwing 15.2 IP, allowing 16 hits and 6 BB with 15 K.  The WHIP of 1.40 is significantly better than anything he posted in his three years in Binghamton.  Ortiz has faced Buffalo twice in the last two months, allowing 4 R (3 ER) over 6 IP both times.

Monday 6:35–  LHP Sean Nolin (9-0, 2.19 in FSL) vs. LHP Darin Gorski (8-6, 3.88)

Darin Gorski faced New Hampshire five days ago, getting the win: 7 IP, 2 R, 8 H, 2 BB, 6 K.  Wilmer Flores’ seven game hitting streak came to an end Saturday while playing 3B.  He went 14-for-30 in the streak while playing 2B everyday while Reese Havens sat out.  Sean Nolin Blue Jays 2010 6th round pick, is making his AA debut after dominating the FSL.

First half champs St. Lucie is 77-46 on the year, and a 1.5 games behind Jupiter in the second half, who they host for three beginning Tuesday.

Monday 7:05 – RHP Daniel Winkler (9-10, 4.63) vs LHP Alex Panteliodis (4-6, 3.49)

Alex Panteliodis is set for his 20th start, he’s 4-3, 2.43 ERA in night games.  On Aug 6th Winkler held Savannah to 2 runs on 6 hits and no walks over 7 IP.


SSA: Brooklyn Cyclones (36-23) @ Vermont Lake Monsters (27-32) Listen
Monday 7:05 – RHP Julian Hilario (2-3, 3.14) vs. RHP Nolan Sanburn 0-0, 2.25

Julian Hilario won his last two outings allowing 1 R on 8 H, 4 BB and 8 K over 10 IP.   Kevin Plawecki hit two homers Sunday with a BB, he has 6 homes, 20 BB, and 16 K on the year.

Monday 5:00 – RHP John Gant (3-2, 4.80) vs. TBA
Monday Game 2 – RHP Persio Reyes (3-5, 6.07) vs. TBA

Five games in three days against first place Burlington is the agenda for Kingsport to makeup the July 11th and 12th rain outs.   Gant and Reyes are both set to make start number 10 tonight, the only Kingsport pitchers who will reach double digits in starts.  Gavin Cecchini has not played in the field since returning from the DL with a broken pinkie.  He has gone 8-for-30 with no extra base hits, 3 BB and 9 K as the DH.
