Saturday 7:05 – LHP Justin Thomas 1-1, 3.51 vs. RHP Jenry Mejia 1-2, 3.22

Jenry Mejia has a 1.16 ERA as a starter for Buffalo allowing a .181 BA as compared with .303 as a reliever.  Justin Thomas is a spot starter for the Yankees and hasn’t gone more than 4 IP this year.  With the parade of relievers used last night, and Mejia and Thomas not lengthened out as a starters, the back half of this game could get messy.

Binghamton Mets (57-61) @ Harrisburg Senators (63-54)  Listen
Saturday 7:00 –  RHP Armando Rodriguez 2-2, 3.14 vs. LHP Danny Rosenbaum 7-9, 3.79

Rodriguez makes his second start in eight days as Binghamton recovers from two doubles headers in the past week.  On July 31st Rosenbaum lost to the B-Mets going 6 IP and allowing 6 hits and 3 BB.   The Mets signed Andrew Carpenter and have assigned him to the Binghamton squad.  He was pitching for the Blue Jays with 5.00 ERA in 9 innings of relief, after going 6-3, 3.85 for AAA Las Vegas.  He spent the previous three years with Lehigh Valley and some cups of coffee with the Phillies.

Saturday 6:05 – RHP Jacob DeGrom 0-0, -.– vs. RHP Tom Stuifbergen 4-5, 5.89

Jacob DeGrom makes his FSL debut after going 6-3, 2.51 in the SAL, with 78 K to 14 BB over 89.2 IP.   Stuifbergen faced St. Lucie last Sunday and look the loss, allowing 5 ER on 8 hits and 2 BB over 4 IP.

Saturday 6:05 – LHP Miguel Pena 6-5, 2.43 vs. RHP Marcos Camarena 6-4, 3.35

In yesterday’s double header Cam Maron went 3-for-7 with a triple, a walk, and two K’s.  He caught the first game and was the DH in the second.    


SSA: Vermont Lake Monsters (24-28) @
Brooklyn Cyclones (32-20)
Saturday 6:00 – TBA vs. RHP Julian Hilario 1-3, 3.32

Hilario picked up his first win in his last outing, 5 IP of shutout following Johan Santana’s rehab start.  On the year he has struck out 29 and walked 14 over 38 innings.


R: Danville Braves (25-20) @ Kingsport Mets (16-30)

Saturday 6:00 – TBA vs. RHP Chris Flexen 0-1, 6.27

Chris Flexen has struck out 18 and walked 7, he has been hittable at .316 allowing 25 hits, over 18.2 IP.
