The Bisons Fight Back… Over Twitter
Last night, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News criticized the Bisons over Twitter. Pitchers Collin McHugh and CJ Nitkowski responded in kind.
The Issue of Pride
Can't wait to hear from the #Mets fans/bloggers after this run-4-the-bus disgrace. 10-2 in home finale in front of 15,000. Show some pride.

Mike Harrington (@BNHarrington) August 29, 2012@BNHarrington don't mistake lack of pride for a sub par performance. That was a really disrespectful statement. Show some professionalism

Collin McHugh (@Collin_McHugh) August 29, 2012@Collin_McHugh I know the difference & understand the reaction. Too many groundballs not being run out, no coaches at 1B, etc. Indifference.

On CJ Nitkowski
#Mets note II: Backman said Nitkowski likely off the radar. "He needs more seasoning. I know he's 39 but I don't think [MLB] at this time. "

Nitkowski’s response (which he appears to have tried to delete):

For what it’s worth, lefties had a .261/.393/.348 line in 23 AB in AAA this year against Nitkowski. Righties abused him at a .500/.545/.767 clip with six extra-base this in 30 AB.
