AAA: Toledo MudHens (38-58) @ Buffalo Bisons (50-47) 7:05
LHP Adam Wilk 4-10, 3.46 vs. BUF: Jeurys Familia 7-5, 4.62
Familia looks to extend his hot streak to 3 starts, after going 12.2 IP, 10 hits, 2 BB, 11 K in his last two starts.
Adam Wilk has also gone 0-3, 8.18 with the Tigers this year. He seems mostly the victim of bad run support has he limits the IL to .226 and has reasonable walk totals.
AA: Trenton Thunder 7 @ Binghamton Mets 1
The B-Mets lost an afternoon game to wrap up their series with Trenton. Cory Mazzoni (L, 5 IP, 3 hits, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K) pitched ok, Jeff Stevens and Adrian Rosario did not. The offense did not have an extra base hit, Eric Campbell reached base three times. Wilmer Flores played second and was 0-for-4 while Reese Havens had the night off.
A+: Brevard Co. Manatees (14-11) @ St. Lucie Mets (11-15) 6:30 ET
LHP Jed Bradley 5-7, 4.55 vs. RHP Chase Huchingson 5-6, 4.44
In the second game of yesterday’s double header Dan Muno played SS. With Tovar in AA Muno should see more time at the premium position. Mike Baxter continues his rehab tonight after playing both games at DH yesterday.
SSA: Brooklyn Cyclones (18-11) @ Hudson Valley Renegades (17-12) 7:05 ET
RHP Rainy Lara 3-1, 2.91 vs. RHP Matt Spann 1-2, 3.12
Brooklyn is last in the NYPL in batting average and third in OBP, leading the league in walks 138, while being second to last in strikeouts 189. So its not just Nimmo with the good approach at the plate. On the pitching side, the Cyclones lead the NYPL in strikeouts 253, while being tied for third to last in walks allowed 78. The team whip of 1.10 is absurdly good.
R: Bristol White Sox (6-20) @ Kingsport Mets (6-18) 7:00 ET
TBA vs. RHP Akeel Morris 0-4, 7.50
Kingsport has not won back to back games yet this year, the rotation is working with nine days of rest after the plethora of rain outs last week.
