Wednesday 6:35– LHP Adam Conley (4-2, 4.44) vs. RHP Jacob DeGrom (3-0, 2.08)

St. Lucie needs a win to keep their season alive, three game series don’t wait for teams to settle into the postseason, tonight and tomorrow (if they win tonight) will be at home.  Jacob DeGrom did not face Jupiter in his month in the FSL, and has not lost since a July 4th start for Savannah.  DeGrom went 6-3, 2.51 in 15 SAL starts, before 4 August starts for St. Lucie.   2011 second round pick Adam Conley threw 5 shutout innings against St. Lucie on August 23rd, striking out 7 and picking up the win.  He went 7-3, 2.78 in 14 SAL starts before 12 more in the FSL this year.   Aderlin Rodriguez, Cory Vaughn and Alonzo Harris hit lefty pitching at a 900+ ops.

Wednesday 6:00 – RHP Pat Light (0-2, 2.63) vs. RHP Luis Mateo (4-5, 2.45)

Kevin Plawecki is hitting .289/.317/.395 over his last ten games, and Kingsport call up Maikis De La Cruz has hit .238/.385/.476 providing one of the few extra base threats for the Cyclones lately.  

The Cyclones can clinch a tie for the wild card with a win.  Batavia (44-30) plays a double header against Jamestown (33-40) beginning at 4:00 meanwhile Hudson Valley and Tri-City play for the best record while they both prepare to start the playoffs Saturday.  Auburn clinched their division over Batavia last night and will be the 3 seed.  You can follow all the NYPL scores, and check in on the standings at minorleaguebaseball.com
