[sny-editorial userid=”tobyhyde”]SNY.tv checks in with prospect Gavin Cecchini, a 2012 Mets first round pick, to gauge his progress this season with the Brooklyn Cyclones. Hear from Cecchini, as well as Brooklyn manager Rich Donnelly and Cyclones hitting coach Bobby Malek.
Cecchini just finished up a 16-game hitting streak, the second-longest in Brooklyn team history. Since returning from a sprained ankle, he’s hit .315/.340/.360 in 22 games. My pre-season #7 prospect, he has the hands and arm for short. Cecchini will not blow anyone away with his raw speed, but the Mets see enough in his feet to remain at the position.[/sny-editorial]
