1. The Significance of ‘Gallows’ as BLESSTHEFALL’s First Album in 7 Years

After nearly a decade since their previous studio effort, Blood in the Water (2018), BLESSTHEFALL returns with Gallows. This long gap has built anticipation among fans eager to see how the band’s sound has evolved. The album marks a pivotal point in their discography, blending their signature aggressive riffs with more melodic and experimental elements, reflecting their growth over the years. It’s worth listening to for anyone interested in how bands mature and adapt over time while staying true to their roots.

2. The New Single: ‘Gallows’

The title track, ‘Gallows’, serves as the album’s lead single and showcases a darker, heavier tone than some of their previous work. It features intense vocals from lead singer Beau Bokan, layered with intricate guitar work by Elliott Mannheim and Matt Traynor’s dynamic drumming. The song’s themes revolve around struggle, resilience, and confronting personal demons, making it a compelling listen for those drawn to emotionally charged metalcore. Its release has already generated buzz, with fans praising its energy and lyrical depth.

3. Band Lineup and Production Details

For Gallows, BLESSTHEFALL retained core members Beau Bokan (vocals), Elliott Mannheim (guitar), and Matt Traynor (drums), with new bassist Jared Warth, formerly of Suicide Silence, joining the fold. The album was produced by Drew Fulk, known for his work with bands like Motionless In White and Bullet for My Valentine, ensuring a polished yet aggressive sound. This collaboration has been praised for balancing the band’s melodic sensibilities with raw intensity, making the album a noteworthy addition to their catalog.

4. Thematic Content and Lyrics of ‘Gallows’

Throughout the album, themes of mental health, personal struggle, and perseverance are prominent. Tracks like ‘Fallen…’ and ‘Drowning’ explore feelings of despair and hope, resonating with listeners facing their own battles. Bokan’s lyrics are introspective and raw, providing a sense of catharsis. This emotional depth adds layers to the music, elevating Gallows beyond just heavy riffs to a meaningful artistic statement.

5. Visuals and Album Artwork

The album cover features stark imagery of a gallows set against a bleak, cloudy sky, symbolizing themes of judgment and mortality.
