Fans of Bring Me The Horizon are eagerly awaiting their upcoming European tour, but recent announcements have revealed a postponement until 2023. This listicle covers the key details about the postponement, what it means for fans, and how to navigate the new schedule. Whether you’re a die-hard supporter or a casual concert-goer, understanding the reasons behind the delay and how to stay updated is essential. Read on to find out everything you need to know about the postponed Bring Me The Horizon European tour.
1. Why Was the Tour Postponed?
Bring Me The Horizon announced in October 2023 that their European tour would be rescheduled to 2023 due to unforeseen circumstances. The band cited logistical issues and ongoing health concerns within the touring crew as primary reasons. This decision was made to ensure the safety of everyone involved and to deliver the best concert experience possible. Fans should appreciate that postponements, although disappointing, often reflect the band’s commitment to quality and safety rather than neglect or disorganization.
2. Which Dates Are Affected?
The original tour dates, spanning from late 2023 through early 2024, have all been postponed. Major cities like London, Berlin, and Paris will now host their concerts in the spring and summer of 2023. The band has provided a detailed new schedule on their official website, emphasizing that all tickets remain valid for the rescheduled shows. This change affects thousands of fans who had planned to attend, but the new dates aim to accommodate as many supporters as possible.
3. What Are the New Dates and Venues?
Bring Me The Horizon’s rescheduled European tour will now take place from May through August 2023. Notable new dates include a June 15 show at the O2 Arena in London and a July 10 performance at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin. The venues remain the same as initially planned, ensuring fans get to see the band in familiar and iconic locations. The band has also added some new opening acts to keep the experience fresh, including Pale Waves and Thrice, depending on the city.
4. How Will Ticket Purchasers Be Affected?
Ticket holders for the original dates will automatically have their tickets transferred to the new dates, with no action required. If fans cannot attend the rescheduled shows, most ticket providers offer refunds up until a certain deadline. The band and promoters have emphasized that tickets remain valid for the new dates, and fans should check their email or the official ticketing platforms for updates. This approach helps prevent confusion and ensures fans don’t lose their seats or money.
5. Will There Be Additional Tour Dates?
As of now, the band has not announced any extra dates beyond the rescheduled schedule. However, they have expressed their intention to add more shows if demand is high. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned to official channels for announcements, as spontaneous additions are common in major tours. The band’s management is also considering special festival appearances and alternative venues to accommodate more fans in Europe.
6. How Has the Band Addressed Fan Concerns?
Bring Me The Horizon issued a heartfelt statement thanking fans for their patience and understanding regarding the postponement. They emphasized that safety remains their top priority and that they are eager to perform for their European supporters as soon as possible. The band also encouraged fans to follow their social media accounts for real-time updates and to reach out to ticket vendors if they have specific questions about refunds or exchanges.
7. What Are the Benefits of the Postponement?
While postponements are often viewed negatively, they can lead to a better concert experience. The additional time allows the band to refine their setlists, stage effects, and overall production quality. It also provides more time for fans to save for tickets, travel arrangements, and accommodations. In the long run, these delays can result in more memorable, high-energy performances that meet the band’s high standards.
8. How to Stay Updated on Future Announcements
Fans should follow Bring Me The Horizon’s official social media accounts, including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, for the latest updates. Subscribing to their email newsletter is also recommended for direct notifications. Additionally, ticketing platforms like Ticketmaster and Eventim will provide official updates regarding any further schedule changes or new ticket sales. Staying connected ensures you won’t miss important information or last-minute changes.
9. What Are Alternatives If You Can’t Make the New Dates?
If fans are unable to attend the rescheduled concerts, they can consider attending other upcoming shows or festivals where Bring Me The Horizon will perform. The band is scheduled to appear at Download Festival in the UK and Reading & Leeds Festival in 2023, which might serve as alternative options. Additionally, live-streamed performances and virtual events could be opportunities to experience the band’s music if travel proves difficult.
10. How Will This Affect the Band’s Future Plans?
The postponement indicates that Bring Me The Horizon is committed to ensuring their performances meet their artistic standards. They have hinted at working on new material during the delay, which could mean fresh music in the near future. The band’s resilience and adaptability demonstrate their focus on delivering quality experiences, and fans can look forward to a robust touring schedule once the pandemic-related issues are fully resolved.
How to Choose
When deciding whether to attend the rescheduled Bring Me The Horizon European tour, consider several factors. First, check the new dates and venues to see if they fit your schedule and travel plans. Second, evaluate the ticketing options—whether you already own tickets or need to purchase new ones—and the refund policies if your plans change. Third, think about your health and safety preferences, especially if there are ongoing concerns about large gatherings. Lastly, consider the overall experience—are you willing to wait longer for a better show, or do you prefer attending a different concert or festival?
