If you’re a guitarist or musician inspired by Ed Sheeran’s iconic looping style, you might be wondering where to find the same loop pedal he uses in 2026. This listicle covers the best places to buy the Chewie 2 loop pedal, the equipment Ed Sheeran is rumored to favor, and how to choose the right looping device for your needs. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or an enthusiastic beginner, this guide will help you locate authentic gear and make an informed purchase.
1. Official Chewie 2 Distributor Websites
The most reliable source for buying the Chewie 2 loop pedal is directly through the manufacturer’s official distributor website. Companies like LoopMaster and BOSS often list authorized dealers on their sites, ensuring you get genuine products. Purchasing directly from these sources guarantees authenticity, warranty coverage, and access to customer support, making it the safest option for serious musicians.
2. Music Retail Chain Stores
Major retail chains such as Guitar Center and Sam Ash carry the Chewie 2 in their physical stores and online platforms. These stores often have knowledgeable staff who can demonstrate the pedal and answer questions. Buying in-store also allows you to test the pedal firsthand, which can be invaluable in assessing its feel and sound quality before making a commitment.
3. Reverb.com
Reverb is a popular online marketplace dedicated to musical instruments and gear, including the Chewie 2 loop pedal. Many sellers list both new and used units, often at competitive prices. The platform offers buyer protection, reviews, and seller ratings, so you can confidently purchase a genuine Chewie 2 from trusted sources while exploring options for used pedals that may save you money.
4. Amazon
Amazon stocks the Chewie 2 loop pedal through authorized sellers, providing fast shipping and customer reviews to help inform your decision. While prices can vary, Amazon’s return policies and buyer protections make it a convenient option. Be sure to verify the seller’s credentials to avoid counterfeit products and ensure you’re getting the authentic Chewie 2.
5. eBay
eBay offers both new and used Chewie 2 pedals from individual sellers and stores. This platform can be useful if you’re looking for a rare or discontinued version, or a deal on a used pedal. Always check seller ratings and reviews, and ask for detailed photos and information to confirm the pedal’s condition and authenticity before purchasing.
6. Local Music Shops and Pawn Shops
For those who prefer face-to-face transactions, local music shops and pawn shops can be excellent sources for the Chewie 2. While stock may vary, these shops sometimes have used pedals or can help you order a new one. Building relationships with local shop owners can also provide ongoing support and advice for your looping setup.
7. Specialty Audio and Guitar Shows
Attending industry trade shows, guitar expos, and music gear festivals can give you direct access to vendors selling the Chewie 2. These events often feature demos and special show discounts. Plus, you’ll have the chance to speak directly with representatives or even the manufacturers themselves, gaining insights into the pedal’s features and authenticity.
8. Online Forums and Community Marketplaces
Music forums like The Gear Page or Reddit’s r/guitar often have classified sections where musicians sell or trade gear, including the Chewie 2. Participating in these communities can help you find trusted sellers and get firsthand advice. Just ensure you verify the condition and legitimacy of the pedal before completing your purchase.
9. Custom and Boutique Pedal Builders
Some boutique pedal builders offer custom versions or clones of popular loop pedals like the Chewie 2. If you’re open to a custom build, companies like Cosmic Ears or smaller boutique brands may offer similar functionality with unique features. While not the exact same pedal, these options can sometimes match the performance you seek, especially if you’re after a specific sound or feature set.
10. Second-Hand Marketplaces and Classified Ads
Platforms like Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp can sometimes have Chewie 2 pedals for sale from local sellers. These options can be budget-friendly, but they come with increased risks regarding authenticity and condition. Always meet in safe, public places, and ask for detailed photos or proof of purchase to verify legitimacy.
How to Choose
When selecting a Chewie 2 loop pedal, consider factors such as build quality, feature set, compatibility with your existing gear, and your budget. Authenticity is crucial; always buy from reputable sources. Think about the size and portability if you perform live, and check if the pedal offers the looping length and effects you desire. Reading reviews and watching demonstration videos can also help you determine if it matches your playing style.
