Complete List of Take That Band Members

Take That’s current members are Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen. The English pop group formed in Manchester in 1990, and its original line-up also included Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. Barlow is the lead singer and main songwriter. Williams left in 1995, the group split in 1996, reformed without him in 2005, briefly welcomed him back from 2010 to 2014, and has been a trio since Orange left in 2014.

Here is every Take That member, current and former, with years.

Gary Barlow (1990–1996, 2005–present)

Gary Barlow is Take That’s lead singer and primary songwriter. He has been in every line-up of the band, including the reformed group from 2005.

Howard Donald (1990–1996, 2005–present)

In the original line-up, Howard Donald served mainly as a dancer alongside Jason Orange. He returned for the 2005 reunion and remains a member of the current trio.

Mark Owen (1990–1996, 2005–present)

Mark Owen initially provided backing vocals, along with Williams. He is one of the three members still in the band, and in May 2013 he announced the recording plans for the group’s seventh studio album.

Jason Orange (1990–1996, 2005–2014)

Jason Orange was an original member who, like Donald, was primarily a dancer in the early years. He was part of the 2005 reunion but did not take part in the 2014 album, III, which the band recorded as a trio.

Robbie Williams (1990–1995, 2010–2014)

Robbie Williams was an original member who provided backing vocals. He left in 1995, while the other four completed their world tour and released a final single before splitting up in 1996. He rejoined from 2010 to 2014, and the band then continued without him.
