1. The Origin of the Rumors
The speculation about a new Deftones single launching on July 10 began circulating on social media after a series of cryptic posts from band members. This rumor cycle is reinforced by recent interviews where band members hinted at working on new material, making the July 10 date a focal point for fans and media alike.
2. Previous Release Patterns of Deftones
Understanding Deftones’ release history provides context for this rumor. Their last album, “Ohms,” dropped in September 2020, followed by several singles and EPs.
