Fans across the UK and France will need to note postponed shows now slated for 2023. This listicle covers what fans need to know about these changes, highlighting key dates, reasons for postponement, and how to stay updated on the band’s upcoming performances. Whether you’re a dedicated Gojira supporter or planning to catch their live shows, this guide provides vital information for navigating the reschedules and planning your concert experiences.
1. Gojira’s Original Tour Schedule and New Dates
Initially, Gojira was slated to tour across Europe starting in late 2023, with major stops in the UK and France. Due to unforeseen circumstances, these dates have now been pushed back to 2023, with the band announcing new dates via their official channels. The rescheduled shows include key venues such as the O2 Academy in London and Le Zénith in Paris, giving fans a fresh opportunity to see them live. This change is significant for fans who had already purchased tickets, emphasizing the importance of checking official sources for updated schedules.
2. Reasons Behind the Postponements
Gojira cited a combination of logistical challenges and health concerns as reasons for postponing their UK and French dates. The band explained that ongoing production delays related to their upcoming album, as well as the lingering impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, contributed to the decision. Additionally, some band members faced health issues that required additional recovery time, making the original tour dates unfeasible. Fans should appreciate the band’s transparency and commitment to delivering a quality live experience once they return to the stage.
3. How the Postponements Impact Ticket Holders
Ticket holders for the original dates should check their emails and official ticketing platforms for specific instructions on refunds or exchanges. Most tickets purchased through authorized vendors will be valid for the new dates, but some may require action to transfer or refund. Gojira’s management has emphasized that fans will be prioritized and that refunds will be straightforward if they cannot attend the rescheduled shows. It’s advisable for ticket holders to stay vigilant for updates from their point of purchase to avoid missing out or facing unnecessary complications.
4. What Fans Can Expect at the Rescheduled Shows
While the dates have shifted, fans can still anticipate a high-energy performance from Gojira, renowned for their intense live presence and environmental-themed visuals. The setlists are expected to feature tracks from their latest albums, including “Fortitude” and “Magma,” alongside classics like “Flying Whales” and “The Heaviest Matter of the Universe.” The band has promised to deliver an immersive concert experience, with enhanced production elements to compensate for the delay. Attendees should prepare for a memorable night celebrating their resilience and musical innovation.

It also reflects the ongoing uncertainties in the live music industry, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and communication.
9. How to Prepare for Rescheduled Gojira Shows
Once new dates are announced, fans should plan logistics early—book accommodations, arrange transportation, and arrive early at venues. Wearing comfortable clothing and bringing essentials like ear protection and hydration will enhance the concert experience. Additionally, following venue-specific guidelines regarding COVID-19 protocols or security measures ensures a smooth entry. Preparing in advance helps maximize enjoyment and safety during these anticipated performances.

How to Choose
When selecting which rescheduled Gojira show to attend, consider factors such as the venue size, proximity, and ticket availability.
