How the Tour Schedule Usually Works
Tour schedules are typically planned months or even years in advance. The band’s management and booking agents coordinate with venues and promoters to set dates and locations. Announcements are usually made several months before the tour begins, allowing fans to purchase tickets early. For Tool, touring plans are often influenced by band members’ individual commitments and health considerations, which can impact scheduling.
Common Problems and Uncertainties
Touring plans can be affected by various factors, including health issues, logistical challenges, or unforeseen events. For example, recent news indicates that Maynard James Keenan underwent hip replacement surgery and a subsequent surgery, yet he has expressed a desire to continue touring. However, until official dates are announced, these health updates do not translate into confirmed tour plans.
