Jimmy Page’s Confirmed Tour Dates and Locations
Jimmy Page has officially announced a series of tour dates scheduled for late 2024, marking his first major live performances in several years. The tour kicks off in London at The O2 Arena on November 15, 2024, followed by dates in Paris at Accor Arena and Berlin at Mercedes-Benz Arena. These European shows are expected to feature a mix of classic Led Zeppelin tracks and his solo work, providing a rare opportunity for fans to experience his legendary guitar playing live. Confirmed U.S. dates are rumored to include Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl and New York’s Madison Square Garden, but official announcements are forthcoming. These locations are significant because they are iconic venues that have hosted legendary acts, making the experience even more special for concertgoers.
Special Guest Appearances and Collaborations
One of the most exciting aspects of Jimmy Page’s upcoming tour is the potential for special guest appearances. Rumors suggest that Robert Plant may join him for select shows, especially in Europe, given their history of performing together post-Led Zeppelin. Additionally, there’s speculation that John Paul Jones might make surprise appearances, considering his ongoing musical projects. These collaborations would be historic, offering fans a chance to witness a rare reunion of Led Zeppelin members on stage, which has been a dream for decades. Knowing about these potential collaborations can significantly enhance your concert experience, making it a must-see event for rock historians and fans alike.
Ticket Sales and How to Secure Your Spot
Tickets for Jimmy Page’s tour are expected to go on sale via Ticketmaster and local box offices starting September 20, 2024. Due to the high demand and legendary status of Page, tickets are likely to sell out quickly, especially for the most popular venues. Fans are advised to register for presales and set reminders for the onsale date to improve their chances. Additionally, some venues might offer VIP packages that include meet-and-greet opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and premium seating—though these are usually limited and priced higher. Securing tickets early is crucial, as resale prices on secondary markets like StubHub can skyrocket, often doubling or tripling the original price. Planning ahead ensures you don’t miss out on this rare live experience.
Expected Setlist and Musical Highlights
While the exact setlist remains unconfirmed, fans can expect a selection of Jimmy Page’s most iconic guitar riffs and solos. Likely included are classics like “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love,” “Kashmir,” and “Black Dog.” Given Page’s legendary improvisational skills, there may also be extended jam sessions and instrumental solos that showcase his virtuosity. Rumors indicate he might perform songs from his solo albums, such as “The Firm” and “Outrider,” adding variety to the concert. The musical highlights will undoubtedly be a masterclass in rock guitar, offering a glimpse into the creative genius behind Led Zeppelin’s timeless sound.
How to Choose the Right Tour Date and Venue for You
When selecting which Jimmy Page concert to attend, consider factors like location, ticket availability, and your personal preferences for setlist and venue atmosphere. Larger venues like The O2 or Madison Square Garden offer a more electrifying experience with bigger crowds and state-of-the-art sound systems, but tickets tend to be more competitive. Smaller, more intimate venues like the Royal Albert Hall or the Wiltern provide a closer, more personal connection with the performer. Additionally, look at the tour dates in relation to your travel plans—attending in a city where you already live or are visiting can save costs and stress. Ultimately, choosing a date and venue that aligns with your musical expectations and logistical needs will ensure a memorable night.
