Mastodon’s Latest Album Tease: ‘Hushed and Grim’ Follow-up
Mastodon, renowned for their progressive sludge metal, recently dropped hints about a new project following their 2021 album, ‘Hushed and Grim.’ Lead guitarist Bill Kelliher hinted in interviews that the band has been experimenting with new sounds, possibly blending more melodic elements into their complex compositions. This tease is exciting because Mastodon has a history of evolving their style while maintaining their heavy roots, making this upcoming release potentially a pivotal moment for the band’s sound.
Lamb of God’s New Material: A Shift Toward Melodic Metal
Lamb of God, known for their aggressive riffs and politically charged lyrics, has also been teasing new music. Frontman Randy Blythe mentioned in a recent livestream that the band has been working on a record that incorporates more melody and even some clean vocals, a departure from their usual thrash/death metal hybrid. This shift could signal a new artistic direction that broadens their appeal and showcases their versatility, making it a must-listen for fans eager for fresh sounds.
