The Black Magic Rituals Mustaine Practiced in the 1980s
During the early days of Megadeth, Mustaine reportedly turned to black magic rituals to influence his personal life and career. He claims that performing specific rituals involving candles, symbols, and incantations helped him gain clarity and strength during tumultuous times. These rituals were said to be inspired by various occult traditions, including Satanic symbolism, which Mustaine believed amplified his creative energy and focus.
The Use of Sex Spells to Influence Relationships
Mustaine has openly discussed his use of sex spells aimed at attracting romantic partners or strengthening existing relationships. He describes casting spells that involved focusing intent, using specific words, and sometimes incorporating ritual objects like candles or personal items. While skeptics dismiss such practices as superstition, Mustaine insists that their psychological impact was real and that they contributed to his resilience during challenging times.
Influence of Occult Literature on Mustaine’s Practices
Mustaine’s interest in black magic was heavily influenced by occult texts like Aleister Crowley’s writings and the teachings of the Golden Dawn. Songs like “Holy Wars… The Punishment Due” and “The Conjuring” are said to reflect his fascination with spiritual warfare and the unseen forces he believed were influencing his world. These themes added a layer of authenticity and intensity to his music, resonating with fans who appreciate the darker side of metal.
The Rituals for Protection and Success
Mustaine also performed protective spells before major concerts or recording sessions to ward off negative energies and ensure success. He describes using symbols like pentagrams and sigils, along with prayer-like incantations, to create a shield of positive energy around himself and his band.
