This page compiles all publicly available information about the Metallica Tour 2027, including confirmed dates, how to stay updated, and common questions fans have. As of September 13, 2026, the details are still emerging, but here’s what is known so far based on recent coverage and official sources.
What has been confirmed
According to recent reports from several outlets, including Wikipedia and Google News, Metallica’s tour activities in 2027 are not yet officially announced with specific dates or locations. The only confirmed tour activity relates to their 2014 performances, which took place on various dates from March through August of that year, but these are historical and not indicative of future plans.
Recent coverage from July and August 2026, such as the Metallica – M72 Final Leg review by At The Barrier, and reports from metalinjection.net and Loudwire, highlight ongoing tour activities, but do not specify any dates beyond the current year. Notably, articles from July 2026 discuss the conclusion of their extensive M72 World Tour, which wrapped up earlier that summer, and mention preparations for upcoming residencies and festival appearances. However, no official confirmation or dates for a 2027 tour have been announced as of now.
Additionally, sources like Sphere Entertainment and other outlets have reported on Metallica’s recent performances and residencies, but again, specifics about a 2027 tour have not been disclosed. The latest confirmed dates and plans remain unannounced publicly, and fans are advised to monitor official channels for updates.
What has not been announced

In addition, details such as the tour’s start and end dates, the countries or cities to be visited, and the format of the tour (whether it will be stadium shows, residencies, or festival appearances) have not been made public.
