How to Choose
When selecting a portable monitor for outdoor LAN parties, key factors include screen size, refresh rate, brightness, connectivity, and battery life. Screen size is a balance between visibility and portability; 15-17 inches is generally optimal. A higher refresh rate (120Hz or above) and low response time (under 5ms) are critical for competitive gaming to reduce motion blur and input lag. Brightness levels above 250 nits help combat glare and sunlight, while anti-glare coatings improve visibility outdoors. Connectivity options such as USB-C and HDMI ensure compatibility with various devices, and built-in battery life can be a game-changer if power sources are limited. Durability and weight also matter for easy transport and setup.
