The announcement of Rammstein’s Summer 2022 North American stadium tour has fans buzzing with excitement. Whether you’re a longtime devotee or new to their explosive live shows, this list highlights the key details you need to know about the tour, including dates, venues, ticket info, and what makes this tour a must-see event. If you’re planning to attend or just want to stay informed about one of metal’s most theatrical bands, this guide is for you.
1. Tour Dates and Locations
Rammstein’s Summer 2022 North American tour kicks off on July 17 in Montreal at the Bell Centre and runs through August 27 with a final show in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium. The band will visit major cities including Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, and New York City, with a total of 15 shows scheduled across the continent. These dates are strategically spread out to maximize accessibility for fans from coast to coast, and the venues are primarily stadiums, offering a grand setting for their signature pyrotechnics and stage effects.
2. The Venues and Their Significance
Most of the concerts will be held at large stadiums like MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, which can accommodate tens of thousands of fans. These venues are ideal for Rammstein’s elaborate stage productions, which include fire, smoke, and towering pyrotechnic displays. The choice of stadiums ensures an immersive experience, with excellent sightlines and acoustics, making each concert feel like a major event rather than just a typical show.
3. Ticket Information and Pricing
Tickets for the tour went on sale on March 25 through authorized vendors like Ticketmaster. Prices range from approximately $75 for general admission seats to over $200 for VIP packages, which include early entry, exclusive merchandise, and meet-and-greet opportunities. Fans are advised to purchase early, as the combination of high demand and stadium venues means tickets sell out quickly, especially for the most popular dates. Additionally, some cities are offering premium experiences such as backstage passes and VIP lounge access.
4. What to Expect From the Live Show
Rammstein’s live performances are renowned for their theatricality, and the 2022 tour is no exception. Fans can anticipate a setlist featuring hits like “Du Hast,” “Sonne,” and “Ich Will,” alongside new material from their latest album, “Zeit.” The band employs pyrotechnics, elaborate stage props, and synchronized lighting to create a visceral, immersive experience. The production is designed to evoke powerful emotions and showcase Rammstein’s signature blend of metal, industrial, and Neue Deutsche Härte styles.
5. Special Guest Appearances and Opening Acts
This tour features several opening acts, including German industrial band OOMPH! and American metal band Combichrist, both of whom have collaborated with Rammstein in the past. These acts set the tone for an intense night of music, warming up the crowd for the main event. Sometimes, Rammstein invites special guest performers or surprises during their set, adding an extra layer of excitement for dedicated fans.
6. Accessibility and Fan Safety Measures
Given the ongoing health considerations, the tour organizers are implementing strict safety protocols, including proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests, mask mandates in indoor areas, and increased sanitation stations. Venues are also ensuring crowd control measures are in place to prevent overcrowding. Fans are encouraged to review each venue’s specific policies before attending to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
7. Merchandise and Exclusive Items
Merchandise booths at each stadium will feature exclusive tour apparel, including T-shirts, hoodies, and hats adorned with the tour artwork and band logo. Limited-edition items, such as signed posters and collectible pins, are available for early purchase or as part of VIP packages. Fans are advised to arrive early or shop online ahead of the show to secure their favorite items, as these tend to sell out quickly.
8. How to Get the Best Seats
While stadium shows are generally designed for large crowds, some venues offer premium seating options like front-row or pit tickets. These provide the closest view of the stage and the most intense experience of the pyrotechnics and stage effects. To secure these, it’s best to act fast during the initial ticket sale and consider VIP packages that guarantee prime seating alongside additional perks.
9. Transportation and Parking Tips
Attending a stadium concert requires planning for transportation and parking. Many venues partner with local transit authorities to offer shuttle services or recommend public transit options like trains and buses. Parking lots fill up quickly, so arriving early or pre-booking parking passes is advisable. Some cities also offer ride-sharing discounts or designated drop-off zones for concertgoers.
10. Why This Tour Is a Must-See Event
Rammstein’s 2022 North American stadium tour promises an unforgettable experience with their signature explosive stage show, a setlist blending classic hits and new material, and the chance to see one of the most visually stunning live bands in the world.
