Who Are the Current Members of Foreigner?

Who Are the Current Members of Foreigner?

The current members of Foreigner are Mick Jones (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Jeff Pilson (bass), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar), Chris Frazier (drums), Luis Maldonado (lead vocals) and John Roth (guitar, bass). Mick Jones is the only founding member in the line-up, and he has not toured with the band since 2023. Luis Maldonado has been the lead singer since 2025.

Foreigner formed in New York City in 1976. Jones came up with the name because he, Dennis Elliott and Ian McDonald were British while Lou Gramm, Al Greenwood and Ed Gagliardi were American. The band has sold more than 80 million records worldwide. Below is every current member, with roles and years as the band’s member list gives them.

Mick Jones (1976–present)

Guitar, keyboards, backing and lead vocals. Jones founded the band and has been a member throughout. He did not tour in 2011–2012 or 2021–2022, and has not toured since 2023, so the road band plays without him.

Jeff Pilson (2004–present)

Bass, backing vocals and keyboards. Pilson joined in 2004 and is the longest-serving member after Jones.

Michael Bluestein (2008–present)

Keyboards, keytar, synthesizers and backing vocals since 2008.

Bruce Watson (2011–present)

Guitar and backing vocals. Watson joined in 2011, one of the years when Jones was off the road.

Chris Frazier (2012–present)

Drums and percussion since 2012.

Luis Maldonado (2025–present as lead singer)

Lead vocals since 2025. Maldonado was already in the band, playing guitar and bass and singing backing vocals from 2021 to 2025, before he moved to the front.

John Roth (2025–present)

Guitar, bass and backing vocals. Roth is the newest member, added in 2025.

Former Foreigner Members
